Okay, first things first – why even choose Jodhpur?

Well, imagine this – ancient palaces, giant forts, desert sunsets, and that whole royal aesthetic you see in Bollywood wedding scenes. And, that’s Jodhpur for you.

One of our absolute favorites is the Umaid Bhawan Palace. It’s literally a functioning palace and part of it is still the royal family’s home. Getting married there will be a big flex. There’s also Mehrangarh Fort, which looks beautiful in drone shots (and yes, we love using drones for your wedding films and photographs).

But it’s not just about the fancy buildings. Jodhpur has this peaceful, old world charm that feels special. The narrow streets, the locals dressed in colorful turbans, the smell of fresh kachoris, everything adds character to your wedding experience. And when we shoot here, every frame looks like it belongs on a magazine cover.

Also, Jodhpur is called the Blue City because many of the houses are painted in different shades of blue. Makes a cool background for couple portraits and even for pre wedding shoots.

How much does a destination wedding cost in Jodhpur?

Let’s talk numbers because weddings here can cost a bit depending on how extra you wanna go.

For a regular destination wedding with about 150-200 guests:

• Venue + stay: ₹30 lakh to ₹1.5 crore approx (depends on which wedding venue you pick)
• Food: ₹2,500 – ₹5,000 per plate approx (and yes, you’ll get both Rajasthani thalis and global cuisine)
• Decor & setup: ₹20 lakh to ₹1 crore approx
• Music & entertainment: ₹5 lakh to ₹20 lakh approx
• Photography + Cinematic Films: starting from ₹8 lakh (we’ll get into that)

Pro tip: Don’t just look at the cost of the venue, look at the vibe you want. A palace might sound cool, but sometimes boutique hotels or heritage havelis have more charm for intimate weddings. And they photograph beautifully too.

How much should be the cost for wedding photography in Jodhpur?

Also, Jodhpur has killer light for photos. Early mornings and evenings give you that soft golden glow. And desert shoots are unreal. One of our favorite things is capturing at the time of sunset where you can’t beat that desert golden hour.
