The following day, the Devak / Dev Puja ceremony took place, a sacred ritual seeking the blessings of the divine for the upcoming nuptials.
The mamas and their families gathered at Deo Bhag, Gwalior for the Mamera ceremony, a traditional ritual where they arrived bearing gifts for the bride and her family, singing folk songs in celebration. This joyful occasion set the stage for the following ceremonies, including the beautiful Mehendi, where intricate designs were painted onto the bride and her loved ones’ hands and feet. The Haldi ceremonies then took place, where the bride and groom were covered in turmeric paste to cleanse and bless them before their big day.
The wedding festivities continued with the lively Garba & Dinner Night, where guests were treated to a traditional Gujarati dance. The rhythm and energy of the dance filled the air, as everyone swayed and spun to the music, celebrating the happy occasion. The morning of the wedding dawned with the Kashi Yatra, a sacred ritual where the groom symbolically leaves for Kashi, but is brought back by the bride’s family. This was followed by the Oonjal ceremony, where the bride and groom sat on a decorated swing while they were showered with flowers and blessings from their loved ones. The atmosphere was filled with love and celebration, making for a memorable and sacred start to the wedding day.
The wedding day continued with the Mangalashtak ceremony, where a beautiful Marathi song was sung by singers LIVE to celebrate Rohini & Deepak’s love story.
